Some customers call my shop inquiring about Freeze-Dried floral preservation after seeing pictures in magazines. Though it is a method of preservation, it is not the technique that I use. My expertise is dried floral design; therefore my preservation of choice is Silica Gel or air – drying. These methods produce a blossom that carries a loveliness quite different from that “fresh” look. The past 18 years of my life have been devoted to promoting the beauty of dried flowers. If you could see my thoughts you would envision bygone days of enchanted cottages, wildflowers, antiques and red roses and petals in a wooden bowl. Hanging overhead are bunches of mint leaves, herbs, heather and various wild grasses. I believe there is nothing quite as enchanting as a bouquet of dried flowers. This is the beauty I will capture from your flowers and then design in an arrangement of your choice.
The Process
Flowers need to be delivered to Anne Bruening Originals as soon as possible following your event. I am usually available on Sundays to take in your bouquet as long as prior arrangements are made.
Events are not limited to weddings. Many bring flowers to me after the death of a loved one. There is comfort in saving memories in this exceptional manner.
Oh, and let us not forget the mother of the bride or groom, bridesmaids…or Homecoming and Prom?

The process takes 3-5 weeks for proper drying. During these weeks you will have time to decide what you would like to have done with your flowers.

Not interested in a shadowbox? No problem! Perhaps you would prefer a wreath, topiary, swag or centerpiece. We have also added 3 sizes of glass boxes that are absolutely perfect for smaller keepsake arrangements. Oh…….the possibilities are endless.
